Dear Family and Friends,
Greetings from all
of us to you. We pray that you are
taking the time to ponder the greatest gift of all: Jesus Christ. For
unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be
upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the
Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
The biggest
blessing of 2012 for our family was the addition of our newest member: Hannah
Marie Chapeau. She was born on August 10th
via c-section, she weighed 5 lbs. 15 oz. and was 18 & 1/2 inches long with
lots of dark hair just like the rest of the kids. We all adore little Miss Hannah and we're
thankful for her health and that she is such a content, happy little baby. Now that she is 4 months old, she is
interacting more and trying to grab at everything in sight. Seeing Hannah grow and change so much in the
last four months reminds us to enjoy our four little blessings each day; they
change and grow so quickly, right before our eyes.
Grayson (2 & 1/2
yrs old) enjoys eating food and lots of it!
It seems he is determined to catch up to Josh in size and he is almost
there! He loves running after his big
brother and sister, trying (and mostly succeeding) to do every activity they
do. Saray (4) is our little fireball;
she is always ready to go somewhere or do something. She loves to sing, talk, paint, make crafts
and she is learning how to spell, add and subtract. She is looking forward to starting school
next fall. Josh (4) is our quieter one,
until he starts laughing. He has the
most infectious laugh that we never tire of hearing. He does well interacting with others but also
thrives on playing by himself. He enjoys
books about tractors or cars and he's starting to take more interest in
spelling and painting.
With the addition
of a new family member, the kids’ bedrooms received a bit of rearranging this
year. With some help from family
members, we finished two new bedrooms in the basement just in time; moving Grayson,
Josh and Saray into their new bedrooms one week before Hannah arrived. What a huge relief it was to have all that
done before Hannah arrived.
This year we also
enjoyed watching our lawn come in nice and thick, which has been a joy to
watch, especially after all our hard work last year that we did: bringing in
top soil, raking it out, and broadcasting the grass seed by ourselves. Jeremiah added some stairs off of our back
deck so that the kids could easily go out and play in our newly fenced in backyard.
Jeremiah is
enjoying his job as a Respiratory Therapist at our local hospital and is
currently studying for an exam to become a Registered Respiratory
Therapist. He hopes to take that exam
early 2013.
Being a mother of
four kids, 4 years and under, keeps me incredibly busy on the home front, but
even in the extreme busyness, I marvel at the precious gifts that God has
given. We are so richly blessed. "Children are a gift from the LORD; they
are a reward from him." - Psalm 127:3
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Jesus is the Reason
for Every Season,
Jer, Chelsey, Joshua, Saray, Grayson & Hannah
